Virginia Square Apartments is a 220-unit high rise multifamily development located above the Virginia Square Metro stop between the vibrant neighborhoods of Clarendon and Ballston. WDG provided interior architecture and design services for the repositioning of this 1980's residential tower.
The renovation of the building's amenities included a new lobby, resident service lounge, leasing office, elevator lobbies, rooftop club room, fitness center, and sun and pool deck on the penthouse floor.
The existing lobby was limited in square footage and divided into several smaller spaces. WDG opened the first floor and created an exciting and vibrant space. The ceiling is a reflected river of bronze and gold metal drapery that flows through the lobby.
The rooftop club room was a long narrow space that spanned the length of the building. The new open plan linear club room is equipped with a bar, small business center, pool table, gaming area and several lounge seating areas, flanked at either end by the sun deck and pool deck. A sliding glass partition was installed to allow for dividing the room into two spaces.
